Review

Cowboys & Aliens is without a doubt the funniest, dumbest movie of the year. Though thoroughly entertaining, the film did not hone in on its potential to be great. Daniel Craig delivered as a wicked bad ass, however some other characters and their roles were quite ridiculous (I will not delve or I will ruin the surprises lol). I haven't laughed so hard in a long long time. If you have no intention of taking this movie seriously and just looking for some good laughs, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

A search for something to do led me to the movie theater to watch the prequel of the famous Planet of the Apes film, Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Fans of the original Planet of the Apes, will not be disappointed as this prequel makes for a transition without objection. To my surprise this movie struck me on many levels. It did not conform to the 3D hype and despite this, was greatly entertaining with eerily realistic visual effects. Emotions poured out the screen touching those who watched, while reminding us of human beings' capability of evil.

Review

I had great expectations for Captain America: The First Avenger despite the fact that I never followed the comic or cartoon as a child. Despite the movie taking a while to develop, I did not feel any connection to the characters. On the other hand, Colonel Chester Phillips did bring some chuckles. The 3D in this film was not necessary, so if you are really interested in checking out this film you can save a few dollars by skipping that feature. Nonetheless, I was disappointed. Captain America does not stand tall among the other Avenger member movies which have come before it. This could simply be because Captain America simple isn't as awesome as the rest. That being said, I look forward to the Avengers which is set to release on May 4,  2012.

I must first start by saying I am not a Harry Potter fan. I was intrigued by the fascination, so I watched all eight movies over the past month. Each movie is definitely better than its predecessor. After watching the final movie in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, I did not leave the theater compelled to don a cloak and bear a wand. However, I did leave the theater completely satisfied, as the movie captivated me in a way I didn't think possible when I first started watching the series. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is simply awesome.

Review

Horrible Bosses is an extremely relatable film, which in the grand scheme of life is very depressing. Anyway, the movie was funny. I would have to say that Charley Day's character Dale was hilarious. If you think he's funny in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, you will like him in this film. I laughed a few times. There was one scene which surprised everyone in the movie theater. People literally jumped out their seats. It was an okay comedy so you don't have to run to the movie theater to catch it. Horrible Bosses deserves a place on your Netflix queue.
