Review

There is no doubt that the acting in this film is on point. The cast is excellent. Unfortunately this was not enough for Robin Hood to walk with the graduating class of 2010. It is one thing to make a film that is over 2 hours long, but it should not feel over 4 hours long. The potential was there, the Gladiator/Brave Heart vibe was going on but not nearly as epic. The cinematography was beautiful and the action depicted for the period was well done, however at the end of the day it didn't win.

Review

Like most sequels, the majority for the character development takes place in the first movie, which allows for a massive amount of time for action. Ivan Vanko is one bad-ass villain. He is also quite likable. Tony Stark; awesome, cool, all that he was in the first movie. Natasha Romanoff kills it. The action is there, the story is there, the dialogue is there, character chemistry is there and did I say the action was there? No need for Superman and Batman might have to step it up; Iron Man is the sh!t. Last but not least, wait, there is a little teaser for the audience after the credits roll out.

Dirty Little Teaser Trailer

Machete (2010)
Release Date: September 3, 2010

Director: Ethan Maniquis, Robert Rodriguez
Writer: Robert Rodriguez (writer)

Cast
Machete: Danny Trejo
Luz: Michelle Rodriguez
Sartana: Jessica Alba
Senator McLaughlin: Robert De Niro
Torrez: Steven Seagal
Lindsay Lohan: April Benz

What is this!? Watch out the Mexicans are coming to getcha! I am going to assume this isn't offensive. Moving on, Machete looks entertaining despite the corny "illegal" trailer. Not really illegal considering Robert Rodriguez released it. Machete is an Action/Adventure but a side of me feels a little Comedy might be sprinkled in there, maybe its the movie voice or the fact that Lindsay Lohan is a main character. Anyway, this film gives off a "Kill Bill", "Grindhouse" vibe. We'll see if it wins when the time comes.

Review

One thing is for sure, I canNOT relate to this movie and I don't know anyone who can. The whole scenario is quite bizarre and makes you question its realistic merit. Anyway, if you're into romantic comedies check out The Back-up Plan. The 2-legged dog is cute, of course, and Cesar Millan makes an appearance which is awesome. The characters react predictably but it has its chuckles and cutesy moments.

Review

Clash of the Titans was built on sand and as all things constructed on faulty ground it crumbles. This film attempts to be carried simply by the vastness of its production and nothing more. The largeness of it is pleasing to the eye but this is overshadowed by the boring story line. There is absolutely no character development, while the plot is weak. It attempts to pay homage to the original film but all this does is make me wish that was the version being watched and not this technologically advanced coconut. The original Clash of the Titans (1981) triumphs over this remake.
