Review

Not only does "The Expendables" have all the ingredients an action film requires, but combinations and scenes with action overload. Explosions, gun fights, car chases, varying fighting styles, knife fights, body parts flying all over the place; whatever you can ask for it is there. Surprisingly, "The Expendables" makes you laugh, purposely. Who knew Jet Li could be a comedian. Yes, the plot is silly, but honestly, with this much action who the hell cares? The one unavoidable issue is that there are so many big action stars that there will be people who wished their star had more screen-time. At the end of the day, if you're looking for the kick-ass, star-studded action film of the year, you will walk out the movie theater grinning from ear to ear.

Review

"The Other Guys" starts off ridiculously entertaining. This film is loaded with quote-worthy knee slapping one-liners. Allen Gamble is that guy on the job you can't stand but for some reason everything he does or says is absolutely hilarious. On the other hand, Terry's miserable behavior is relatable and cool in a weird way. Unfortunately, this movie felt like two and a half hours long. It transitioned from action packed hilarity to drawn out comedy. Either way, I trust Will Farrell fans will not be disappointed.

Review

Evelyn Salt is a CIA officer who's loyalty to the US is tested as she is accused of being a Russian spy. This action packed film has many twists and turns that for some may be predictable. In an effort to create a top class action flick, many of the stunts were quite unrealistic. "Salt" lacks captivating dialogue, moving performance, and any kind of connection with the film and/or its characters. Nonetheless, if you are in the mood for nonstop running, jumping, and gun fights "Salt" is sure to please.
