Review
Machete has popped my Mexploitation cherry. Filmed much like Planet Terror, Machete has a good dosage of gore and corny dialogue. In fact, the dialogue is so purposely bad that it is quite hilarious. I must say though, that opening scene…. intense. I must mention however, that parts of this film felt like a Desperado rip-off. Now, we all know that some people were mad at the film for whatever; making the “white man” seem evil, stereotypical Mexicans, the whole immigration issue blah blah blah. Honestly, who the F cares, it’s an exploitation film, get over it. If you not into that then don’t watch it, but if you want to see one bad ass Mexican chopping people up then Machete is right up your alley.
