Review

Although we (Avatar: The Last Airbender fans) were doubtful, M Night Shyamalan proved the unimaginable with this film. He proved that not only is it possible for him to create films with massive potential and completely bomb the conclusions, but that he is capable of taking a critically acclaimed TV-series, with a cult following, and transform it into one of the worst films of the decade. M Night Shyamalan essentially took a priceless gem and turned it into sewage. This pompous asshole thought he could improve on the appeal of The Last Airbender by not only changing the pronunciation of some of the characters names but by changing abilities as well. As we all know by now the film took slack for its choice of characters. It seemed there was an attempt to create a "multicultural" film turned out to be the multicultural "good guys" against the evil Middle Eastern/Indians. M Night Shyamalan is either a complete idiot or is one racist bastard, or both. The 3D is the worst I have seen in any film this year thus far. It was an afterthought and the production value reiterated the fact. The acting, dialogue, character chemistry, and fight choreography were worse than a Junior High drama production. The best actors in the film would have to be Apa and Momo, and they barely played any part in the film. Apa was more of a mode of transportation while Momo was, "living" decoration. The plot, which was essentially already provided from the tv-series was botched into a non-fluid pile of garbage. Those who have seen the series could barely piece together the haphazard jumps from scene to scene not to mention the poor viewers who have never been introduced to it prior to this awful experience. The special effects were good (minus 3D). In short, M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender (2010) should be destroyed and the so-called producer/director/writer or whatever he claims to be should never work in the film industry again. The End.

DEAD ON!! As one of the cult members of the tv-series, I was thoroughly disappointed and frankly, HURT by this....this....garbage disguised as a movie production! Poorly written (HIRE REAL WRITERS!). Not fluid at all! Poor dialogue! Considering that the written lines were so horrible, one would think that at least the acting would cover for it....NOT IN THIS FILM!

I love the TV show and have seen all 3 seasons....I absolutely love this series and consider it to be legendary but I haven't seen the movie yet! I am going to check it out but the way you make it seem is that I should just wait for the bootleg to come out on good quality and download it! JEEEZ
